How to register for the GED in Pakistan
The whole process, in order, with nothing hidden — from finishing Matric to preparing, booking each subject, and applying for IBCC equivalence.
The six steps, in order
- Finish Matric or O-Levels. Complete your secondary schooling — it's a prerequisite for the GED and for local equivalence.
- Confirm eligibility. Check the age rules (18 standard; 16–17 via age waiver) and, for local equivalence, the two-year-gap requirement.
- Prepare with KINDL. Structured, subject-by-subject preparation. Pakistan requires preparing through an Authorized GED Prep Provider before booking the test; KINDL is actively securing that status.
- Create your GED account & book each subject. Register in the official GED testing system and book the four computer-based subjects separately, at an authorised centre, when you're ready for each.
- Sit the four subjects. Reasoning Through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science and Social Studies — taken one at a time.
- Apply for IBCC equivalence. Submit your GED diploma and transcript with your verified SSC/equivalent for an HSSC (Humanities) equivalence certificate — for the local route.

One thing to know up front: Pakistan requires candidates to prepare through an Authorized GED Prep Provider before booking the test. KINDL is actively securing that status — we describe it as in progress, not settled, and we'll tell you exactly where it stands when you enquire.
After you pass: equivalence
Passing the four subjects earns you the GED. To use it for local university admission, you then apply to the IBCC for an HSSC (Humanities) equivalence certificate — a separate process with its own documents and rules, including the two-year gap. That's all covered on the IBCC equivalence guide.
